Are You A Believer?
Loaded question? Easy to answer? Death, a hurricane & a beach reinforced my belief.

Nov 2020, 8.5 months of pandemic, long enough to have delivered a baby, a new life. Like many, our family was feeling the effects when my friend offered her beach-front apartment to us for a week. Schooling & working from home, made it easy to accept.

Before leaving an unexpected death in our family delayed our departure. Then as a hurricane headed our way, we drove north thinking we'd miss it. The hurricane turned & we battled bands of wind & rain as we drove through the storm.

After days of rain, the first glimpse of sunlight. Walking the beach saying my morning prayers: “Lord walk with me, make my path clear, remove anything that is negative & standing in my way, let me know what is removed so I can learn from it.” A wave rolled out to sea & the sand shifted to leave what looked like footprints in the sand. God was walking with me! Incredibly moments later, the rest of the prayer was answered & something impeding my path was removed.

Lesson learned? Sometimes the death of an old you, going through the storm, asking for help & believing it will come, is the only way to usher in new life. I am a #believer. What about you?
